Pyrokinesis — Final Fantasy
Narrative FPS / Action-RPG in the Pyrokinesis universe: detective Kerrigan, the Izanka shadow realm, 75+ quests, and three endings — built on Godot 4.7.
Challenge
Build a first-person narrative game that captures the atmosphere and meaning of Pyrokinesis tracks — not as a fan mod, but as a full narrative experience. The world of ancient Kingdoms, gods, and the shadow dimension "Izanka" must be felt through the hero's hands and gaze; text and dialogue matter more than arcade mechanics.
Solution
Godot 4.7, solo development from GDD v3. Architecture on Autoload singletons (GameState, EventBus, SaveManager) and an event bus with no direct scene coupling. FPS player KerriganPlayer with hand viewmodel, scars from Izanka rifts, and a "Read the city" examine mode. HUD with DepthBar, clue journal, dialogues with three intonations (Push / Wait / Retreat), monologues, and a hand-drawn district map. Two reality layers, JSON quests, and RU/EN localization.
Outcome
Working prototype: boot → menu → test world, core systems for phases 0–4 (player, UI, Izanka rift, journal, Act I). Next up — vertical slice and full GDD delivery: 5 acts, 75+ track-based quests, bosses, and three endings. Platforms: Windows and macOS.
